As a true Belgian I did not want to miss any second of the first Red Devil challenge at the World Cup in Brasil. For all we know we have to wait another 12 years for another memorial Belgian WC moment. Since, the Brazilian sun rises 5 hours later than in Belgium the Belgian-Algerian duel takes place at dinner time. However, I cannot watch this memorial game with an empty belly but I also am not into greasy fries or delivered pizza.
Therefore, I decided to make tasty, full-flavoured World Cup Fingerfood aka normal food in mini-versions. On the menu were mini-pizza’s covered with bacon and mozza, cute and spicy sausage rolls, little homemade veggie puff pies with herb oil and crusty garlic bread. To balance out all these savory bites a fresh and fruity minestrone provided a sweet touch. So, regardless how the Red Devils play it will be 90 yummy minutes!
By the way, after 90 minutes of blood, sweat and tears the Red Devils won! Elise.
